Had a bunch of spare s-handle parts kicking around....
A number of months ago convertered the Amigo II into a 3 pc. 3 handle set-up. Balances nicely compact, perfect for backpacking and for the wife.
Recently converted my Cutlass II into a straight shaft set-up:
Used the orig Amigo straight section, added on a removeable rear section to it as an extension. Minelab handle and a larger Fisher arm cuff.
The control box placed in the location pictured balances perfectly. You can change balance point by moving the handle foreward or backward.
The Cutlass feels like a new machine and light weight. This set-up works well, especially if you don't need to access controls all the time. The Cutlass only has two controls up front and one in the rear of the case.
Eventually on the Amigo going to switch out the alumin. lower rod and center section with a Tall man's lower rod and shorten the rear section somewhat. Should cut the weight down a bit more.............
