He has healed rather well and quickly and is back to work. He reminds me though of my oldest son who when he rode his bicycle always came home with scrapes and scratches. Josh (son-in-law) had a few things happen and his bicycle got 'hurt' pretty badly. He has no car - the bike is his transportation. Keeps him fit.
Well, sometimes I ask myself "am I rewarding him for not being honest in the first place with Sherry and I?" I have to stop asking and do what is right. Not to pat myself on the back..I have an almost new bicycle I bought last year with hopes Sherry and I could ride together. Never happened and with my hernia isn't likely I was going to be riding it. Josh has a birthday next month and have been mulling over giving him the bike. Been an up down decision as I could sell it and use the extra money for other things or keep it in case I needed a way to work (there's a joke) or do the right thing and give it to him. So I put it off until the other day. Drove it down and delivered it to his door. Said Happy Birthday and left him speechless to say the least. Casey told me the day before his bicycle got into an accident and was in very sad shape.
Later that morning Casey messaged her Mom and said Josh was still out in the parking lot riding the new bicycle almost every since I dropped it off.
I know he will enjoy it and get more use out of it than I would or could. We may have got off to a bad start but he now calls me Dad.
and I think he and Casey (and baby on the way) will do ok with God's blessings and mine.
Thanks for the prayers for Josh, Casey and also pray for her baby in the making.
Blessings all
