I headed out for couple of quick hunts today between showers. I was going to go out of town today, however, we had tornado warnings around Edmonton, so I stayed close to home just in case. I hit the same soccer field I hit yesterday, which gave up a ring. Today, using the same metal detector, the "Scorpion Stinger" as yesterday, I continued gridding the other half of the soccer field. At bout 20 feet from the goal post, I got a nice soft, strong hit. I pinpointed it, and saw what at first looked like the round edge of a pull tab sticking out of the grass. Well, it was attached to something gold, so I carefully dug up the bracelet, and figured I probably got a nitro. After cleaning the dirt off in my ultrasonic cleaner, I found the stamp, clarifying the fact that it was actually gold......not a nitro.

Of course I did the happy dance. :lol

Below is the prize...all cleaned up! So far this year, I am having a record year for finding gold. And much of the credit goes to the quality that goes into Garrett Metal Detectors.

Very nice find John. The Scorpion is finding what it's designed too.:clapping:
We've had a couple of small tornados near to town here over the last couple of years. The media keeps down playing what they are and keeps calling them mini tornados. But when you see the film footage of what they are calling mini tornados, they are full blown ones. Probably F!'s or 2's. Pretty spectacular.
Have you ever seen one?
Mick Evans.

Nice bracelet!:clapping:WTG!:thumbup:Congrats on the gold!:cheers:Congrats on having such a great year so far!:detecting: You're on a roll!:please:I second what you say! Thank you Garrett for making machines that are very user friendly and fun to use!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Nice going on the bracelet John. Don't see a lot of them being found on land
and that's a nice one.
The Scorpion is doing a great job for you. It's a lot of digging going for the gold
but the Scorpion is so good at paying you back. Finding gold tends to make you
forget just how much junk you had to dig to get there. Most people would pass it
right over. Not you though, definitely not you. You should be rewarded for your
dedication and persistence, and indeed you are.
Best of luck to you on your next adventure. Gene

Nice bracelet John .Congrats !
