Thanks again Sun Ray probe making Ralph

Last night I hunted a park that has been pounded for years. I hunted there because I was too lazy to drive to a better spot. My first signal was a 1908 o Barber dime which surprised me, silver generally is not exactly popping out of the ground in this park normally. Next signal is sloppy as heck only repeating two sometimes three directions but I keep getting that high pitched tone to the point I decide to dig. Well sure enough, I dig a plug 6 x6, flip it over and there's a big old cut nail. I take that out then run the Sun Ray probe in the hole and I hear a silver dime, two inches down, out pops a 1919 merc. Check the hole again with the probe and i get another weak dime signal, 3or 4 inches down, I find another 1917 merc. check the hole again and I find three wheats 1910, 1910, and a 1909 no mint mark no vdb. During this whole time I also kept pulling out nails (flat cut nails), I think like 5 or 6 and as I was removing them, they would no longer mask the coins and they would start to signal through. So now I've got this gopher size hole under my 6x6 original opening about 12 or 13 inches deep and I'm no longer getting any more signals with my probe from the bottom of the hole, but because this has been such a honey hole, I decided to check the sides with the probe and I get a high pitched squawk that kind of sounded like a hot rock. I dug into the side of the hole and out popped a 1907 d Barber Half, it was on edge only about 4 inches deep and I never got a signal from it with my bigger coil. It is always a good day when you dig a silver half:thumbup:. Now, none of these coins where very valuable and I probably could have found most of them without a Sun Ray probe, but could I have dug them and the nails out in under ten minutes without scratching any of the coins? I don't know how anyone does this sport without a Sun Ray probe, I bought an F-75 which Sun Ray hasn't released a probe for yet and when I use it, I carry my SE on my shoulder to use my probe, because I can't even stand to hunt without it. I bought a Uniprobe for my f-75 and I don't like not having the id of what I'm digging. Knowing where something is in a hole is actually less important then knowing what is in the hole, whenever I used my Uniprobe, I would spend a great deal of time chasing nails in the sides and bottom of my hole, when I could be digging other targets. So having a pin pointer that just tells where stuff is in the hole doesn't equal an in-line probe that Id's. Because the switch box for the probe is on the upper shaft, you can change your coil in less then 30 seconds. No threading crap through g spots or nothing. Thank you again Sun Ray for making me a faster, more efficient hunter and removing the frustration of trying to find ghostly disappearing targets in my holes.:clapping:
