Got a tip from Tinfoil the other day.
He said next time I go tot lot hunting try these settings.
DE
Disc 0
tone 2F
Sens up until noise starts then back off until quiet.
Now you might be saying, what is so special about these setting?
Well it's the 2F that will respond differently to the low gold readings below 24 and above 15. When you get a good target you'll be able to hear it. It sounds a lot different than the other tones. Can't explain it but it works, I heard it.
Try it.:thumbup::fisher:

Thanks. I played with 2F but not enough to get used to it. Will need to spend more time with it in the tot lots and probably the playgrounds too.

It's what I'll use from now on in the tot lots and playgrounds.
I found some very small pieces of kids jewelry. In fact they were so small my pro pointer had
a hard time finding them.
Thanks again:heh:

2F and BP mode on the LTD = GREAT JEWELRY HUNTING!

Last fall after I got my F75 LTD I was experimenting with the settings at a fresh water lake beach, and with the LTD in BP mode and 2F tones I was able to detect a chain that none of the other disc tone options could hear, and it was a nice solid signal with 2F tones....unfortunately the chain turned out to be a gold plated junker, but it proved a point. I also found a 2gm 14K gold earring in a tot-lot with these settings and it rang in loud and clear (BP mode really makes small gold sound off....unfortunately it makes a lot of undesirable small targets sound off too, but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too :shrug:
