Thanks to NebTrac, Another Good Day

NebTrac wrote in a post to me that the Thumping at the end of the signal was because I was using Normal Response. I switched to Pitch Hold and no more Thumping at the end of deep signals, only a nice clean response like the Explorers. Got out for 3 hours today and hit a closed Church School. where I got the beat up Quarter and the Merc plus 6 Wheats. I was on my way to another Church when I went by a grass point next to a boulevard where 5 streets come together. It was about 150 feet on each side of the triangle and 100 feet where a Jehovah Witness Church was located. Since one side was a boulevard, the tree lawn was at least 50 feet wide. I have driven past this spot hundreds of times going some other place, so I decided "what the heck". I parked the car and went onto the tree lawn, and set the E-Trac down and turned it on. It was making all kinds of noise. I moved the coil back and forth and it showed 12-45 at 9 inches. Dug a Wheat first target. Went about 3 feet and got a similar ID. I dug 2 Indians, 1908 and 1885 in the same hole. I thought that I had died and gone to heaven and the there must be at leas Barbers everywhere and I am the first guy to hunt this spot. Well, 3 Rosies and some Wheats later, the minister of the church came out and after we talked, he gave me permission to come back and do the church property. I left because it was just toooo hot and humid, but I will be back and there could be some Barbers around.

Congratulations on the finds and thanks for the pictures Bud. I've never really used pitch hold, only read about it in the manual on giving that response on deep targets. Sounds like you adjusted your machine where you like it. Keep on huntin'
