Thawed enough to hunt

Went out for an or so with my 705 and the stock 9" coil I bought from 7centsworth. Nothing with any real age to it as far as coins go. Did find this necklace about 6" down. Came out looking just like it is. I don't see any markings on the clasp so my guess is it isn't gold, had me going for a second.
Nice to get out.

It's just good to get out and hunt, especially this time of year. Congrats on the finds:thumbup:

You're lucky to get out Bill. The frost is still too deep here. The surface ½" thawed today....just enough to make everything soft and sloppy on top of frozen rock hard.

I felt lucky. A little cold and windy but the ground is soft. Was hoping for silver, specifically barbers but not this trip. Next time!

Yep, you are lucky to get out. The next few days here in upstate New York, the temp will be in the single digits with wind chills to -25 degrees. The high tomorrow, Feb 13, will only be 2 degrees.

Yeah, I heard your temps are going to be pretty brutal. We're in the mid 40s to 50s. Just not enough time get out.
