The 11" coil is coming and it looks to be a WINNER! :clapping:

Would you all enlighten me as to why the 11" at all? Seems the 9" for trashy areas and the 13x11" for deep open field. Or is the 11" meant to replace the 9" - doing just as well in trash but giving more depth?
Also how's depth on 11" vs 13x11"?

If read or reread Andy's September 28, 2013 07:12AM post above Damianicus, I think your questions are answered are there.

better coverage, better balance than the 11"x13" and more depth

Better coverage and depth than a larger coil doesn't seem logical to me.
Better balance can be fixed with a aftermarket product that moves the shaft connection.

Now if he'd said, "The 11" is a newer product and has better detecting technology than the 13x11 or 9 then I'd understand"

I thought that is exactly what he said. You know it is the newest coil. It is lighter and in most ways an improvement over the older 13x11.
The aftermarket 'fix' helps but it still does not have as good a balance as the new coil and it adds a bit more weight.
The XP people are pretty savvy and they would not have brought out the new product if it were not an improvement over the old one.
You don't have to buy it, like it or agree.
