The $64,000.00 question

Which is the best detector to buy!!! I want coins and jewelery. I don't care how deep the target is or it's size. If it's a chunk of silver or gold or even a copper penny, I'll dig it if it's 1 in. or 2 feet deep. Target ID is everything to me and I suppose to everyone else. Is there a detector that stands out in the crowd for it's ability to accurately identify a target.
I would love your opinions. Thanks from northern Calif. Mark

Hard question to answer, but for me I like the XL PRO and M6 for coins.
XL PRO ID is hard to beat and m6 at 14khz is more like the MXT.

Now for very deeeep coins the detector that stand out for finding coins deeeeeeeeep is the minlab 3000-3500. How many detectors can pick up a quarter at over 15 plus inches. I heard of GP 3000 picking up coins at over 20 inches deep.

ID detectors of any kind don't ID coins well at 12 or more inches deep.

Have you checked out the Teknetics T2? Pretty hot machine right now! I'm really impressed with mine.

I'm kinda interested in the White's M6. I'm not sure if it finds deep coins. Since I'm mostly after old coins, that's important to me. I wish it had notching. I don't want to listen to the sound of nails and junk,or if I turn the disc. up, will I blank that stuff out with that machine. I'm still a little green at this. How does that work? Has anyone heard of a newer version (M7) in the works?
Thanks Mark

I have the M6 and it is one deeeep coin picking monster.
I found a 1942 dime at 11 inches.
Any detector that can get dime taht deeeeep is ok with me.

My primary coin machine has been the Tesoro Deleon for the past two years. I have gone over with the M6 places that I pounded with the De Leon and it was like the area had never been hunted for nickles or dimes. I have the M6 for about a month and in that time I have recovered more than 300 coins and about 6 rings in cleaned out areas.;)
