The best of this years England trip

Just got back today from a great trip to the UK with great people Detecting for the last week. The large Bronze piece is a medieval Purse Bar. The cross is late Medieval. The gold is Saxon slag. There are two silver love tokens. A gold cuff link. One great Roman with detail and a few without. Although the Purse Bar is big it was hit at 12+ inches. The Deus performed flawlessly and the CTX never least the suitcase. These sort of trips are in the 2500.00 range with airfare. Thanks for looking. HH

Man I so wish I could make such a trip....
Kudos to you
Too cool..
I would have hoped to pay for the trip with a few juicy finds....

Great hunt Todd... I am in VA right now and will post when I return

Great finds Todd. What adjustments did you have to make to deal with the UK site conditions as compared to your typical settings over here?

I really only changed the frequency to 18 as they have very small coins that are easy to miss. Their ground is more mild then ours and the machine runs smoother there than here.

The purse bar is very nice, have found a few over the years,as you have mentioned our ground conditions are very mild,if you find cult halves and roman minims then your detector is setup about as good as it gets,as they are very small finds.

Well done on a productive trip, must admit we do tend to forget how lucky we are finds wise and our long history.

That is on my list of things to accomplish....
Kudos....
So your U.S. settings were effective overall did you happen
to try lower freq checks over any targets...
just curious as I posted my settings on their FB page to try...

Very nice. I lived in UK for a couple years,, 2001-2003,, wasn't into detecting then-- wish I would have been..

Congrats on the great finds !

Todd,
Who do you go with ? Ron? I go with Ron , Tim, and have been with Sal before, I haven't used my Deus much over there. What settings do you use if you don't mind sharing.
You going this Fall or next spring again?
Thanks
NC Jeff
