It was cool to see the detectorists out there assisting the archiologists with their work <img src="/metal/html/clap.gif" border=0 width=20 height=30 alt=":clap"> Anyone catch what brand detectors they were using?

it can get you hooked.
i saw a whites and a fisher being used on the show. it looked like the fisher had the 10.5" coil on. i also noticed they were sweeping with the coils about 3" off the ground.

I noticed the White's and also noted that they were sweeping about three inches off the ground. Made me wonder what else might be there??
It was a great show.

MD'er using the White's was swinging his coil to high. The MD'er using the Fisher 1200X series with the 10.5" coil looked like he was scrubbing the ground pretty good, though.

It must be nice to do that on the battlefield LEGALLY! They also did Gettysburg last night, I was there few months ago and I knew every step in the park had to be on top of some great historic event and all types of relics!

i think the sweeps were for effect only. if not, i sure wouldn't mind following them and cleaning up.

and we had four generals come from our town (just as the statue near the fire department displays). I'm getting active with the historical society to learn more. I have gained permission to hunt some fields on a farm on our town square. The folks that own the property are really nice. I was told that if I come back before/after the planting season that he'd give me plenty of fields to hunt in. I think their farm has been around since the early times and is centered right smack in the middle of what is known as the town square. I'm not sure just what actually happend in my area or those fields but I hope to gain some insight this winter via my research. My interest in relic hunting is fired up after watching the show last night. I'll have my new EXll in my hands on Christmas day... I'll be at the beach next Monday and Tuesday unless we are in the middle of a blizzard or deep freeze. It will be my first experience with a Minelab. I can't wait

imagine what is there to be found. Better to dig it than let it just rust away.

big brother says let it rust. we have the best government officials that money can buy. <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry">

It looked to me like the Fisher User at least had some dirt on his Coil. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> The thing that really blew my mind was the Destructive power of the Mini as compared to the round ball. <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> It was a very good Program and very Informative. Answered at least a few Questions for sure. Will definitly watch it again if it comes on.
