Romans 3:19-20 (New International Version) "Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin." What is Paul saying here about the law, about what it does and what it does not or cannot do? Why is this point so important for all Christians to understand?

By trying to live by the law (even church laws) one will be broken in someway or the other, because of our flesh, which is weak and selfish. wanting its ways! But to live by faith in Jesus' forgiving mercy is to be free in knowing that He never fails and by accepting Him as our own personal Savior and Lord, we shall not fail to endure and overcome all things! By loving Jesus with all our hearts, minds, souls and strengths, we will obey Him and serve Him with gladness the best we can by what we have learned through studying God's written Scriptures, in both the Old and New Testaments) with the guidance of His Holy Spirit, Who leads us into all truth by asking and seeking the truth of our Heavenly Father, like we do from our parents as small children, for we are the Children of God when adopted and grafted into His family tree!
