"God calls upon us to arise and come out of the chilling, frosty atmosphere in which we have been living, to shake off the impressions and ideas that have frozen up the impulses of love that have held us in selfish inactivity. He pleeds with us to come up from our low, earthly level and breathe in the clear, sunny atmosphere of heaven. Those with whom Christ dwells will be surrounded with a divine atmosphere. Their white robes of purity will be fragrant with perfume from the garden of the Lord. Although there may be a tainted, corrupted atmosphere around us, we need not breathe its miasma, but may live in the pure air of heaven. We may close every door to impure imaginings and unholy thoughts by lifting the soul into the presence of God through sincere prayer. Those whose hearts are open to receive the support and blessing of God will walk in a holier atmosphere than that of earth and will have constant communion with heaven." Ellen G. White, Steps to Christ, p. 99.

What is the general quality of the air where you live? If you live in the country, it is probably very good, and you can breath plenty of it. If in the city, what challenges do you face? The question of air pollution is a serious one. What can you do as an individual, even on a small scale, that could help with this problem? What are our obligations, as the church, to try to help alleviate this problem?

Do you know people who have been suffering some sort of health problems due to poor air quality? If so, how could you help? Why not help them spend some time in a place where the air is pure and fresh?

NO, air is not free because we pay for the factories and companies that have to buy special equipment to keep the air from getting farther polluted by whatever they use to make the various items and goods made! We pay for it in many, many ways as taxes and additional higher prices on the expenses of producing what we all need and use! It is a hidden tax and price but it is there and with the Cap and Trade that BO and his cohorts want to put in place, we will pay even higher prices for gas, oil, electric and whatever is manufactured! NO---nothing is free any more because we pay for the cleaning of air one way or the other! SAD, but TRUE!

Back in the 30's & 40's most people burned coal for heat and etc. and a person living or going in and out of St. Louis City would have to breathe coal dust & suet and their clothes would be black from all the coal smoke by just walking the streets or working out side! But the statistics that the environmentalists are trying to scam us with (Cap & Trade) is based on falseness and lies! We need clean air but not by crooks, cheats and liars! There was a lot of pollution in the air as it blew across the USA during the Dust Bowl caused by Congress themselves, who didn't have any Common Sense even in the 30's! Now, we have the volcano ashes blowing in the air and spreading across other nations! Air isn't always clean in all our lands and nations! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

how different the air is down here in the valley/city as compared with seeing it from the nearby mpountain (9,600 ft). People think we have clear air but up there it tells the real story.
