Went to another local school and found a nice pocket watch,eagle button,and unidentified large copper coin

Nope totally slick

Look up post colonial issue coins and see if it resembles any of them.
There are alot of variations, so focus on the left facing images.. just a guess, but that looks like what you may have. Look at the “Washington pieces”.
