well trying new detectors again and what can i expect for depth with it and any suggestions on settings? and would like to know if a 12 x 10 SEF coil has been tried on this and what were the results?

I think timmysys might have run a big coil, i know he modded an F70 to be waterproof. I think most of us here just run them with the stock 10 or the 11, Zeek runs that 6.5...speaking for myself, seems the 70 will flat kill anything coinish from 6" to surface. Sure it goes deeper than that, conditions, settings and all... some guys with coin gardens can probably chime in as to how deep. I like it for its speed, battery life, and Delta pitch tones. I use it as a quick broom and shoot for clad and fresh drops, seldom digging anything over 4" in the dirt. A couple of the southern boys hunt relics with thiers and do right well. Settings vary all over the board with us...I run a very low sens, most everyone else runs 70+, but again, I'm totlottin and clad stabbin. The thing is so light and balanced its just absolutely a pleasure to swing. I guess from reading these posts for a few years, F70 is not the deepest machine out there, but by dang its used in all sorts of situations by everyones personal style to great effect. Now that MAY be because it is so comfortable to swing, a guy is afield longer, or more often...
