The F2 can find chains...

REVIER

Well-known member
Recently I was at another new to me park and I was using the F2 like I always do at a new site to get the lay of the land.
There is a play field in one area, and if you walk around the block there is another part with a small lake, a picnic pavilion and a tot lot I didn't know about.
Usually I use my Compadre at all tot lots, but I did not feel like walking all the way back to the truck to get it so I just notched iron back in on the F2 and hunted it.
Found a few clad coins, not much else, but I did come across this gun metal colored chain that was spread out in a straight line just under the chips next to the swings.
Pretty thin, but the F2 did pick up the clasp at a solid and steady 06, iron...scanning the rest of the chain I got signals that jumped all over the place from foil into the high 80's.
Back to the clasp, which is very small, by the way, a solid 06 again.
This was with the 8" coil, not the sniper coil.
Almost every time I hunt with my F2 I seem to learn a little more and have had plenty of pleasant surprises!
