the find that got me hooked.. 1840s ny buckle

not exactly-todays finds... found this 20 years ago 1 week after i got my 1st detector... found in my parents backyard... house was built in 1906 so dontreally have any idea how it got there but im glad it did..... was 8 inches deep and read out as a quarter..... happy hunting... Thats a nice one , what kind of situation did you find it in ? a farm feild , a woods, or house lot
 
thanks gunnar... was found in my parents backyard in a small old town....my younger brother had worked thier yard over pretty good with his metal detector a few years prior to me finding it,but he missed it... ive been told its new york state militia 1841....
 
Extremely rare find in that condition great looking buckle !! Jim
