The forum hunt has begun..........

OK, call it the pre-forum hunt. Terry (goes4ever), Mike from Chicago got into town early so we hit two old farms Friday afternoon. No time for pics now because I have to get up in 6 hours to get ready for the main hunt on Saturday. I will tell you some of the better finds included one Indian head, one silver Rosie, a complete cap gun, two Missouri tax tokens. ( hey ma did ya lose them up here? ) a couple wheats, and some other relics.
Hope we get many more goodies when the others join us Saturday.

Sounds like you guys are gung-ho and right on to getting the goodies! No, Ma didn't lose the MO tax tokens up there, but people travel on vacations and move a lot, so could have been anyone who bought food or etc. back in the 40's, 50's and 60's!

But I am finding treasure.......started going through some more of my old pictures and they are making me sad along with many happy memories, too, of the past when getting married, having babies and then pics of my grandparents, great-grandparents and their families and such! Want to get them into the Computer and then on Discs for my children and so forth, before they completely deterioate with the albums falling apart! Some dated and with names....but many aren't......sooooo must guess who is who or find someone that still knows but most of them have passed away, and my memory is fading and what I do know will be lost sooner or later, too! Time waits on no one and that is for sure! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
