The good bad and the ugly

Went back to a civil war veterans house for a short hunt or at least I speculated correctly it was. My buddy Gregg and I poked around it while I was showing him the ropes with his new Equinox and just found period artifacts which is exactly how tonight started out. I dug a funny signal and pulled the first one and I hoovered around and found the second one. The 1867 variety 2 shield rounded out the hunt. The buttons weren't very far apart but condition is day and night

Nice haul. How odd about the buttons. Maybe the more corroded one had some flaking gilt when it was lost?

Wow a two cent piece. I have always wanted to find one of those. They are my favorite coin. The first coin to ever say In God We Trust. Nice variety of finds too congratulations.
