The hunt of my life... BIG 1800's SILVER from the "Twighlight Zone" site...TWO BARBER HALVES...and they're NICE:surprised:

how things happen in this hobby. You are exactly right. It was the absolute LAST thing I expected to pop out of the hole. When the second one came out....I just had to leave out of shock.

workin' for me this year...so I'd better keep it:crylol:
I hope I can get back to that spot a few more times over the next few months as time allows. I am going to dig anything that beeps...and even some that don't.:bouncy:

MAN now that is a nice barbers SHOP, I KNEW BY THE WAY YOU WAS HUNTING THIS SPOT YOU WAS BOUND AND DETERMINED TO PULL SILVER OUT OF THERE; IM NOT SURPRISED I'VE SEEN YOU DO THIS SO MANY TIMES, IT MAKES ME A BETTER HUNTER WTG :super:

would have calmed down some....but NOT so. I'm still a little shhok up.:bouncy: Just like a 45 year old kid in a candy store.

bring a tent...some food...and 2 sets of batteries...so we can just camp out there. Maybe we can make some rhyme or reason out of the interference and figure out when the little breaks in it are. I'll telll you what brother...if anything like those Barbers pop out again...I hope there's some toilet paper somewhere near:rofl: I don't think I'll EVER be the same after those two shockers. I got 'em in holders sittin' here right in front of me...just staring at them. I think I'm "messed up" for life...but in a GOOD way.:bouncy:

10x14??

I hope I can pull a few more from this bizarre site...the 10 x 14 seems to be the most stable there with all the interference. The 10 x 14 found both Barber halves...and most of what I found the first trip. I had to drop my sensitivity on the 10 x 14 down to semi auto 22 because of the interference..and it STILL pulled both Barbers from about 10" down. That's a GOOD coil.:clapping:

mowing a lady's yard for $20 which barely covers the gas. The grass was tall and she did not pick up any of the branches from a storm last night. To make a long story short...I ran over a 2 x 4 sized branch which wedged between the blade and the mower deck...promptly locking up and frying my mower. It sputtered three times...coughed...then just froze up:thumbdown: I had to finish the last 50 feet of the yard with the weed-eater in 95 degree heat. Pretty profitable day...$20 to mow the yard...and now I have to go spend $200 for another mower before I can mow my other yards on Wednesday:ranting: Yippee!

Have you tried the 6" DD there?

just about had a cow. Congratulations on the two best "out of the ground" barbers I've ever seen. I have only found a barber quarter and it was worn smooth. IL Bryce I would hope for a power outage at that place.

but in this one particular area where the interference is bad...I have to turn the sensitivity clear down to 22 semi or so before it settles down. The problem is that all these barbers I've pulled out of this interference area are down 8" to 10". With the sensitivity that low the 6" coil won't quite reach them. It seemed to get about 7" at semi 22 which is great...but I needed to get 8" to 10". When I'm able to run the sensitivity at 32 semi on that little coil...it's an absolute killer on 8" to 10" coins...but I just couldn't do it in this particular area of the park. The 10 x 14 at semi auto 22 hit the 10" coins though in the interference. At another area of the park where the interference isn't bad...I pulled an indian head from 9" down with the 6" coil running at 32 semi auto. It is a smokin' little coil when I can run it hot like I want to...and that's most of the time.
