I am an ex-leukemia patient and have been in remission for well over 10 years now. I'd be the first one to tell anyone I wasn't cured by 'natural means' but by a new drug called Gleevec. The over whelming number of patients that began with Gleevec went into remission is as little as thirty days and that's not something one can do by using anything designed and or created by natural medicine. Does that mean I don't believe in natural medicine? Of course not. What it means is that I believe in doing all I can to stay healthy and living my life by the will of Almighty God. He directs my pathway. He healed me and He chose to do it with a brand new drug! That does not mean He couldn't have done it by natural means. It simply means He chose to use that particular product at that point and time in my life. Jesus told us we could move mountains with faith and trust in Him. When I was chosen to become one of the first people to use Gleevec, I did so believing God would heal me. Whether He heals me now or the last day, when Jesus comes again, either way I win! Either way I am healed! He chose to heal me then and I am forever grateful. That was my thought then and it's my thought now.
Having said all of that, I do everything humanly possible to watch my diet and not defile my body with anything made by man that isn't healthy. And let me tell you folks ... that's becoming increasingly more difficult with each passing day. After I contracted the cancer, I became a label reader and I'm better off for it. I thank God everyday for modern medicine but I thank Him too for 'All Natural' foods available at most of our grocery stores today. I'm doing my best to lower my refined sugar intake, as well as refined carbohydrates and or anything man has created that's not good to put into my body. It's getting nearly impossible to pick up any processed food package without finding artificial sugar, high fructose sugar, and high levels of salt in the 'Ingredients' listed on the packaging. And that includes soft drinks as well. In today's world, it's so easy to make a quick stop at McDonald's or Burger King, or Wendy's or someplace else and grab that burger, fries, and chocolate malt to feed the need. It's becoming nearly impossible to find good food anymore. Yes ... they've all gotten a bit healthier but then we just stuff more into our face without thinking of what it's doing to us. We all do that don't we?
I'd be the first one to jump for joy, if modern science were able to find incredible cures, for mankind, by using products that were previously taboo! Come on! Wouldn't that be amazing?
I celebrate life each day, as though it were my last, and try my best to share God's love with everyone around me and that includes each of you. God bless us all.
