The Mighty Tejon

I have been at this for a couple of years now, and enjoy it more all the time. Tesoro silver umax is what got me addicted to this hobby....and then the golden umax. Wanted more power and depth and so I bought a used Tejon from one of the guys who field tested and developed these units....and let me tell you....what an amazing machine it is. For a year or so I thought a big fancy color screen with all the bells and whistles was what I needed to find the good stuff. Was I ever wrong!

I no longer have that fancy machine and now I am back to enjoying my detecting again. I believe that once you become familiar with the Tejon and learn its language...that there isnt much any of the other detectors can sniff out from under it....its deep and deadly accurate..and probably the last detector I will ever need to buy unless I get a water machine...

I have two Tejons now...one just in case the other has a hiccup...The Mighty Tejon is king in my book...

Of the three machines that I have right now, I can say without hesitation that my Tejon is the strongest. I also take my hat off to the Vaquero.

I take my hat off to the golden.I was just playing around by my porch and dug two old copper pennies and dime that the vaquero and tejon missed.I could hear a high faint hi tone cheep .Switch off notch and clearly hear a coin.I am going to do realy good with the golden just around here in my neighborhood.I will post some neighborhood hunts with the golden rigged with a ufo style solid 10.5 DD coil that is starting to check awesome. o_O

That's pretty interesting that the Tejon missed it. So far I have found two 1770's era king george the 3rd half pennys with my tejon...one in my back yard and one at the edge of a farm field...where there is one, there are more for sure....due to the soil here they generally come out of the ground pretty much solid green.

Wow! Do you remember how you had the other two set up? Thanks.

I just think i did not go over enough with the other detectors.I know the tejon to really get deep.I was messing with the golden in my yard.I think i just got lucky picking beside the trash.I could barely hear the two pennies.I do like the tejon for some serious deep relic and coin hunting and the golden for fun park hunting. It is i am getting so much better now with the golden .I have had it over a year now.Just got the new tejon back in the stable. :-*The coil used has a lot to do with it.
