Back as a teen I was removing a car battery. Instead of spreading the cable clamp after I loosened the bolt I just pulled and wiggled the cable end. Well, the terminal post broke off inside the battery and the battery exploded. I ran to the bathroom and splashed water on my face, when I looked in the mirror I swear to god my face was black and my hair looked like that! Guess who owns a set of battery terminal pliers now?
