Very Nice!
Please tell where you got the box and the feed through connectors?

Dixie Digger,
I have looked extensively at the Otter and Pelican boxes plus a few more brands. There is not any like the one in question.

Thanks for the link. I believe you are correct on the box. In all my searching I never ran into that box. I ordered a Pelican case but would have tried the Lexan box for that price. I have ran into bags and boxes that were rated as watertight only to find they were not for use under water. The Pelican waterproof boxes are. But the clear Lexan box looks real good. Thanks!

Kenny, how will you extend the cable to make the box connections?

I just bought 2 cables from Garrett yesterday. They are cutting the cables off of rejected coils. Then they are selling me two connectors to solder on myself to hook to the coil cable. I'm buying two cables because I'm hip mounting one 250 so I'll need the connector. But on the water unit I won't be using the connector. I will be soldering the extention to the coil cable. Then to make the connection water tight I will use a dual wall shrink tube. This tube has a waterproof glue that melts as it shrinks. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot or electrical supply. I bought a GB (Gardner Bender) water proof butt connection kit just for the shrink tube only. Cost about $9.00 The cables from Garrett cost me $33.00

How much would it cost to have Garrett just extend the cable? Tesoro says theyll do it for $33.

Mary told me that they will make a coil with an extra long cable. She said that it might take a while as they make coils in runs. No mention of price.

I had already ordered my Pelican 1120 box. I just recieved it yesterday. The box does look bullet proof and it's just the right size for my 250. However I noticed the seal has a bad place in it and the lid is warped. I put it under water over night and sure enough it leaks. Since I paid $30.00 plus shipping this thing is going back. I have just ordered a clear Lexan box for %14.95 plus shipping to see how it works.

If my new box that I ordered today leaks then I'll buy one of those. I have seen them before but decided against them because of the 4 screws. Now I'm thinking of using thumb screws. Thanks for the info.

I would rather have the screws than the latches. I'm always afraid that the latches will pop open.

Rose+Bopla doesn't have any links to suppliers. I checked Newark and some smaller suppliers I buy from with no success. Do you know where the boxes can be purchased? I'm looking for the #3312160900 box
Thanks!
