The new edge in a box

They are very proud of these boxes but they don't seem to leak. Where do you live? There is a local distributor in Winder Georgia where I got mine.

I found that Carlton Bates is a distributor in my area (central Missouri). I will call them on Monday to check the prices. Thanks for all your help.

I doubt the latches are prone to "popping open," and I'd trade their convenience against that possibility. However the electrical enclosures are another option and are nicely "industrial." I probably have several laying around at work. THANKS for the tip....

Mc Master Carr said they didn't have the box I asked about. I will try Carlton Bates. I'm just getting things lined out in case my new box leaks.

for underwater use you want at least IP67 but ideally you would want an IP68 rating for underwater use.

On the other hand the GSI Lexan like the one Deerman used do work well underwater for wading. I haven't tried them for Diving. I have used the GSI boxes for over 5 years now and not one has ever leaked.

looks like a really good box too , I float mine on my screen so i can see it and if i want to change a setting i can do it in the water just by opening the latch and reset it so i don't need any tools, but i think the box you found on line would work reallly well too and if you use a detector with knobs on it you can find water proof knob extenions for them too
