The New________PI did very good yesterday

Only saw one Pirate today. He was leaving as I arrived. I picked up the line of targets he was digging and found many clad coins that were missed at very good depths. What was very nice was I was only using half of my gain and the deep targets came through loud and clear. A word of caution. Those folks who rent horses were riding in the wet sand near all the dig holes.Scary thought if a horse stumbles. and throws the rider. Please fill in all your holes even though the sand will still be soft. Be back again today at 500 pm 28th St.

Amazing what you can find that others have walked right over. Very, very good post about filling your holes on the beach. I see far too many holes left unfilled. Yes, the tide will come in and wash everything back in but in the meantime the holes can pose a hazard to others. Little kids and families can dig holes and build sand castles to their hearts content and be okay. Let one person claim they stepped in a hole left by someone with a metal detector and the first step has been taken to banning using them on that beach.
