The Omega and T2SE Out For A Stroll :teknetics:

The Omega found the 1941 silver Washington quarter and the T2SE found the 1943 Mercury dime. Both coins were around 4 inches deep.

Wheat Pennies: 1944, 1930, 1950, 1947 and 1940.

I had the settings on both detectors all over the place today because of serve EMI. My head hurts from all the tatatatatatata.

Thanks guys. I'm wore completely out listening to all that EMI chatter. It's nerve racking.

I'm gonna be swinging a Tesoro for next few days to rest my nerves some or move to another location away from all that EMI.

On another note, does anyone know off the top of their head what the T2's or Omega's VDI number is for a war nickel?

On my Omega, Gerald, they are 56-57, same as a normal nickel. Even with the TATATA, still a good hunt. HH jim tn

Thanks Jim and pitcher. I've found several war nickels, but not with a VDI detector as far I can remember. I have war nickels put away somewhere.

You would think that with all the silver in a war nickel it would have a higher VDI number than a regular nickel.

I have only dug one so far but on my Omega it came in at a solid 57 from every direction at 4" down. I thought I was going to be pulling a regular nickel up and was suprised by the silver in the hole. BTW congrats on two silvers in one day, even if you did have to listen to all that emi racket.
