The Omega Finds Two Silver Ladies :teknetics:

I got off to a early start this morning to get in a few of hours of detecting before the rain storm got here. I jump in the car around noon when it got real windy and the sky got dark and ugly. A few minutes later the rain came pouring down. I started the morning off detecting with the Omega and the 10 inch DD coil. I was getting soft whisper high tone signals for the wheat back pennies (1955,1935,1944,1942, 1919, 19??, 1938 ) that were around 6 to 7 inches deep. Most of the VDI signals were a bouncy 81/83 on the wheat backs. The two Mercury Dimes (1938, 1942) were both around 3 to 4 inch deep and gave a 84/85 VDI number. I pretty much knew what I had before digging them. I was able to run the Omega at full sensitivity with very little chatter. I think I had the discrimination set at 23. I was running 3 tones with a ground balance of 60. I tried to detect some with my G2, but it was having a hisses fit with EMI at this location. That doesn't happen very often. It's usually the other way around.

Good job tabman, nice finds.

Thanks everyone. All I have to do is put the coil near a silver coin and the Omega will scream silver/dig! I'm really liking this 10 inch DD coil.

Okay Tabman your busted. What are you doing on the Teknetics forum? Get back to the Tesoro forum! Okay, NICE finds. Do you like the Omega better than your arsenal of Tesoro's for coins and do you find it deeper? The Omega gets my interest but I worrry about EMI issues.

If I'm on the prowl for some silver coins the Omega with the 10 inch DD coil is hard to beat.

Now if I want to find some gold rings, Tesoro is my top pick. It's hard to beat a Tesoro. :) http://www.findmall.com/read.php?17,1920607

It takes a lot of mercury dimes to equal the value of one gold ring.

Oh yeah, don't worry too much about the Omega and EMI. Just have a Tesoro on hand for those really bad EMI places.

Thanks Tabman. When are you gonna try one of those Euroteks and give me some feedback?

I've been thinking about it. So far with all the hype, I haven't seen a single video done that demos what the audio sounds like on nickels and clad coins etc.

Is it two tones or three tones? Where do the tones separate? I wish someone like that Asian guy with the straw who did the Omega demo would do a demo for the Eurotek.

If I missed one, somebody post a link.
