The Omega found Frank!:teknetics:

The Omega was in a hunting mood this morning in the woods. The compact was the first keeper followed by 3 wheat cents in the same hole. Got 4 in total, 20, 25, 26 and 39. The pink harmonica was a clad quarter reading under a good layer of leaves beside a huge down tree. The Grandma 1/2 of a locket was 2" deep and came out looking good. No markings, however. The 36d Washington was 4" deep and I just knew it was going to be silver. The last keeper was the gold looking ring with a nice looking red stone. I say gold looking as it has no marks and was bouncing between 78 to 82. It appears to have some age and a little on the crudely made order. Maybe something a jeweler made for someone. It looks like it may have been resized. Kind of rough inside the band. I'll have to have both the locket and ring tested. What a beautiful day to be out hunting in the woods. All was good except for dragging a sole full of puppy doo onto my floor mat when I was done hunting. Had on the 11" dd coil, sen 99, 1 disc. and hunted mostly in d2 tones...with a bit of d3 thrown in. HH jim tn

Nice hunt, Jim and nice assortment of finds (as usual)...hope that it's good news on the ring and locket....both look like interesting pieces. HH Pete

Sorry to hear you stepped in poo...that happens! Hopefully you didn't drag it into the house, better than kneeling in it though. Good Hunt!
