My hunting buddy and I went out for few hours this morning to look for some silver coins. I found 3 Mercury Dimes (1941, 1943, 1944) and 6 Wheat Pennies (1948, 1946, 1944, 1943, 1944, 1945). My hunting buddy found a Standing Liberty Quarter and 6 Wheat Pennies. He was using his Omega with a 11 inch DD coil. Most of the coins were 3 or 4 inches deep. I dug one Wheat Penny that was around 7 inches deep. I was using 3 tones, ground balanced at 60/63, set the sensitivity to it highest setting and had the discrimination set any where from 40 to 50 depending on the amount of EMI chatter.
The Omega sure likes silver coins.
