The Patience of Job

Read James 5:10, 11 "Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job

Good post, Martin! If we don't want tribulations, then don't ask God to give us patience, for He will surely try our faith! Job held onto his faith in God through the horrible suffering that he was tried with, but satan saw where Job stood even when he was tempted and the old liar was allowed to try him by the removing of God's protective hedge around him, but by hanging on and never denying his faith in God (even when his wife told him, to deny God and die) he had more blessings of God's goodness in the end than before! If we don't remain faithful and refuse satan's tempting lies and awful trials, we will not make it into God's glorious, golden land to rule and reign with Jesus forever and ever! True obedient faith and standing firm on Jesus, the Solid Rock of our salvation, no matter what happens to this earthly body our spirit remains strong and when leaving this mortal body made of clay will have a new body that is incorruptible and immortal for the blessings of our Lord always! Amen! Ma Betty

before. When I was being transferred from Calif to ILL I was doing everything I could not to have to go. Even applied for another job which I did get after I got to ILL and did not take it. I have a close friend in Calif and we were talking about my not wanting to move. He said " What if that is where GOD wants you to be". I let go then and everything turned out great. Got and early retirement at age 53. I thank God for the people he has put into my life. God Bless.

Yes, God's plan for our lives is always best....if we are listening to His Holy Spirit but when younger I didn't always do that and had difficult times but Jesus did see me through each of them, for in some I could have been killed and/or my family, too! So God is good all the time! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus! Amen! Ma Betty

Praise God, Mike, that He has worked in your life in such a way as to bring Him praise and you happiness. Isn't it wonderful serving a God who knows us and wants the best for us? When we realize He knows our beginning and our end, it's then that we agree and go along with His plan for our lives. If only we would have learned to 'Let Go & Let God' earlier in our lives, we would have been so much happier.
