"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6). What important principles does this text teach us in regard to what is required for prayer and what it means to us?

Matthew 6:8
8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him."

Daniel 9:3-4
3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. 4 And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,

Zechariah 8:21
