The Propointer is Garrett's new Ace 250

The Ace 250 came out and changed the face of the low end detector market.

Now Garrett is doing the same with pinpointers.

If all you can afford`is`the Harbor Freight Cen-Tech job I won't argue that it's better than using no pinpointer.

But if you can afford to go a little over $100 for the Pro-Pointer it's worth every penny and then some.

It's that good. And it makes detecting so much easier and more rewarding.

Garrett's high end detectors are getting long in the tooth.

I know Garrett legends John-Edmonton and Uncle Willy are chomping at the bit for new machines.

When guys like that say it's past time, Charlie & Co. need to get on the ball.

When Garrett can make something as excellent as Propointer we know they've still got it in them.

At the end of the day they clean up very well with the ace it"s probably the best selling detector on the market so why wast time developing a top end detector that sells no were near as much.

Yes, the 250 is a great machine. But we like new toys! They could upgrade the 250 with adjustable ground balance and back light. But they may be left with the other machines collecting dust on the shelves?

Just hang in there. They'll be out with something down the road. They'rejust coasting along right now on the 250 wave.

Bill

Yeah the 250 is still selling like a house afire and Garrett has built two additions onto their factory from the proceeds from this little gem. One should never look a gift horse in the mouth. But they are aware that the natives are restless and I keep reminding them every chance I get.

Bill.

If you look at the last 2 products Garrett came out with lately (propointer and PI mine detector) those are some great products and the mine detecotor is a badass looking detector, wish I could get my hands on that one. So it goes to show you Garrett is busy at work and I believe they will come out with something very kool, hopefully a new top of the line machine.

I would like to see a top line detector with higher freg using the grounghog circuit that is 15k for more sensitivity to low conductors with the power of the GTI 2500 in all metal and some expanded Imaging like a fishfinder type Image or something like it to actually see the shape and and size and best Image possible on the screen of target. What else is there to do? Minelab has done about everything you can do with multiple freq's, so it is up to Garrett to continue the Imaging tech.

I'd like to see multiple, adjustable frequencies, from 0 to 100 khz so you could set the machine to hunt for any kind of metal or target out there and fast track ground balancing. I'd like to see a Garrett with an interface like the Fisher F5 with dials to adjust and fine tune everything and a display showing the amount of mineralization in the ground. I'm hoping the enginers have their thinking caps on. I offerd some of these suggestions to Vaughan Garrett and he passed them on to the engineers. I also suggested a revamping and modernization of the Scorpion and Vaughan agreed that would be a good idea. So I hope they're listening to all of us.

Bill.

hey Bill that would be quite a kool detector if you could adjust freq as you choose. Is that even possible with the coils? I thought certain coils do certain freq's. Glad you are telling Vaughan these things and hope he is on the engineers to modernize the scorpion. Would like to see it with auto ground balance.

Having "Bomb Squad" on the back of your shirt would further insure that no one would bother you in the parks!

Yep and I really like thier other T-shirt they wear, it say's "If You See Me Running, Try To Keep Up!"..LOL. On a serious note, I got my latest "Sportsman Guid" catalog. It had the ACE 250 in it. You don't suppose they are having these new sales and package deals on the ACE and 2500 cause they are trying to sell out dealers stockpile cause they are gonna release something new do ya?:garrett:

I don't think so because they just changed the 2500 not too long ago. Even if they came out with a new machine the 250 would still be in the line up.

I would hope so. I'm sure your right khouse. Maybe they will introduce the new ACE 350! Ya never know.:garrett:
