The Quattro / Safari Handbook is being reprinted . . . . find photos wanted

After putting out 100 other fires, I am finally getting the Minelab Quattro / Safari Handbook revamped and reprinted. I know that many of you have looked for it and found $40 price tags on used copies so here is your chance to get a copy for less than half of that updated to 2016 information.

As with all of my other books, I try to profile users in the book with finds that they have made . . . . and I would like to see if anyone has some finds that they would like to share with fellow hunters and net themselves an autographed copy in the process.

If you have a find photo or tip that you would like to have possibly included in the book,. please do not send me a PM through the site as my in box quickly fills up. Send the information to:

Thanks in advance and I will post the release date as soon as we get it nailed down but it is soon.

Thanks in advance

Andy Sabisch

I am a long time lurker on this forum. Actually I am not a lurker in the metal detecting world...... I only have time to be active in so many forums.

Hard core quattro user here. Quattro = the red headed step child of the FBS lineup. Honestly..... works fine for me.

A sampling of this years finds:

Good headphones are a must for the quattro... do they make my butt look big?

I like to use different detectors and contrary to a lot of whats been said.... it will find the good stuff.

You dont need a $2000 detector to find stuff.

Even my Tesoro Silver Umaxx finds the good stuff:

Location and knowing your detector is almost everything and the quattro will get you to the finish line.

I have a brand new Nokta Fores Core pro package sitting under the Christmas tree for next season. Another underdog detector that some people like to knock............. Im willing to bet I make some great finds with it.... we will see next season. :clapping:

I always try to take pictures of my finds and the detector I used. I have many more pictures in higher resolution and your welcome to use them. I will email you as well.

One tip I would like to add is coil selection is very important on the quattro. Its a slow machine... and ifs it trashy a small coil is a must.

I have tried my fair share of coils on it:

I have found the Detech SEF 10x12 , and the 6x8..... to be be my goto coils:

Sweet have been hoping to get that book. I have definitely seen used ones going for $40. That's just crazy.

Put me down for 2 of them, that way when I misplace it I will have a backup.:nerd:

Boy i haope i can find some stuff like you did. I just bought a quattro.

I would like to have one as well since I am trying a Safari. Love it so far

Just scored an Indian Head with the 6x8 SEF on the Safari! My first one in 2 years! Love the safari

Thanks to one "life challenge" after another this year, the project was delayed months but we are close to print time. I expect to have it back from the printer by mid-late November (good Christmas present . . hint, hint :clapping:)

The artwork for the cover just came back and it looks great.

I will make one last call for find photos as there is a tad more space available . . . . . if you have some Safari / Quattro finds that you would like to see in the book and snag a free copy when it comes in, shoot me an E-mail at asabisch@att.net with the photos and any relevant details (not looking for specific location but rather type of site, any specific settings, how long you have been using the machine, comments and of course your mailing address).

Thanks for your patience.
