Veteran director Yimou Zhang helms this enduring love story starring Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as Zhoa Di, a young country girl who falls head over heels for the Village's new schoolmaster, Luo Changyu (Hao Zheng), in 1950s China.
