Paul continues his theme, contrasting the two possibilities that people face in how they live: either according to the Spirit; that is, the Holy Spirit of God, which is promised to us, or according to their sinful and carnal nature. One leads to eternal life, the other to eternal death. There is no middle ground. Or, as Jesus Himself said: "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters

By each sinner not believing in or accepting Jesus, as personal Savior, when God's Holy Spirit is calling us to come just as we are and turn from our sinful ways and walk in the newness and forgiveness of God after we repent, say we are sorry and to forgive us, and then live our life serving Him and not satan! For if we don't serve God Jehovah in Jesus' name, we serve satan! God is eternal life; satan is eternal death! May God have mercy and save those who will be saved and then Come Quickly, Lord Jesus!
