The sweet spot produces a silver ring !

After another bout of crap weather...back to the churchyard again, except this time I let my hunting chum Jim get in on the action. James found a 1900 and 1905 IH plus a couple of wheats. I managed a 1911 wheat and another which needs a good soak before I can squeeze a date from it. And my second ring from this site. Sterling silver with what we believe is a dark blue sapphire. Setting is quite old and not something that was stamped-out by a machine. This being the part of my maniacal hobby that my wife appreciates. I'm sure she will lay claim to it. Good times !

yep finding the rings is the first thing my wife says when i get home did you find me a ring today

That`s just cool, Dave !

I stand corrected...rings that are marked "sterling" are generally older. The "925" was adopted later apparently. Still a cool find, and it fits my wife's finger perfectly of course. Hows that for a Mother's Day touchdown? LOL !!
