The T2SE Gets In On The Action :teknetics:

I took the T2SE out for few swings today. The first Mercury Dime that I found was around 4 or 5 inches deep and on edge. It gave off one of those iffy signals. The second Mercury Dime that I found was only a few inches deep and it gave off a solid 84/85 ID. I also found 8 Wheat Pennies (1945, 1944, 19??, 1951, 1945, 1945, 1946, 1944). The deepest one was around 6 inches deep and about half of the Wheat Pennies I found gave off iffy bouncy signals. My hunting buddy found a couple of Wheat Pennies and a 1950 Rosie Dime using a F75SE. His detector was running a lot quieter than my T2SE was at this particular location. My settings for most of the day - 3 tones, sensitivity 80, discrimination 23. It was real chatty all day long. I almost forgot. I was using the 11 inch DD coil.

Great Finds Congrats. So witch detector are you liking best. The T2SE or the Omega?

Today I like the Omega the best. Yesterday I liked the T2SE the best. It's hard to say. That's why I have both.:)

I am thinking of getting a T2SE or F75SE as my main detector and keeping the Omega as a back up or just getting the 13 Detech for my Omega. Don't know what I am going to do yet. New price on the T2SE IS $779.0 AND $969.00 on the F75SE with two coils. The price of the T2SE really makes it look good to me.

I ended up getting the T2SE, because of a good trade. On the plus side, the ID numbers on both the Omega and T2SE are the same.

There's a lot of pluses for the F75SE. If I can find a great deal on a used one, I'll be doing some one on one comparing.:)

On the other hand, the Omega is a great coin getter. It just doesn't have a boost mode for hunting over tall grass and vegetation.

It's also a little chatty. With the sensitivity and gain controlled by one knob, it makes hearing the high tone hard to hear when I turn down the sensitivity.

A few little changes would make it an outstanding detector.

Were I have been hunting there is know problem with noise. Been just coin shooting so far with sens on 99 and disk on 16 and 3 tones. The only time there is some low noise is in AT and sens 68-70 ground bal is 58-60.
