THE ULTIMATE DETECTOR HARNESS

GunnarMN

New member
With no harness, i get tired and sore fast with my 4 pound detector , with the Detecting buddy that is greatly decreased, but the ultimate tool was discovered 5000 years ago by the china man, the bucket harness wich can be quckly adapted to a metal detector , and i tried it out in a preliminary run and it worked great , no sore back at all , and the thinig is when i hunt farm feilds i cover a closal amount of ground and this is fast and puts the weight evenly not srenching my back to one side i hold the shovle with the left and swing with the right this is the best so far , i just need some minor adjust ments to fine tune it

LOL "BASIC CONCEPT" Hey Gunnar, people driving by will see a reflecting out in the field. In all seriousness, It is a cool contraption for hunting miles of farm fields. What maybe you need is some sort of shoulder harness that has a loop connection so you can hook your bungy cord too. This harness is for hooking yourself safely to a deer stand or when climbing the ladder to get to the stand. The safety hook is maybe where you can attach your bungy cord... just thinking.

I used a harness when I had a shoulder injury, that was complicated enough for me. The rod just looks awkward.

thanks jimmy , it will take a little time to perfect . Rob its not as complex as the other harness, its easy to take off and dig a target

Stasys give it a try tell me what you think , I know I am getting less fatige in the feild, I am looking for a way to use the shovle as the yoke, still messing around tho to see what works best

Gunnar I was thinking about your idea and I like it, but how to solve some issues with shovel and the rest I dont know, anyway I will try it when I will have time.

My arms are not on the small size so holding my arm in that up position starts nto ache from lose of blood. If it works for you great. For me less is better.

if you could strap or hang a shovle on your back ,that may work , I just hang on to my shovle it really worked good today , covered a lot of ground with the blisstool and no fatige,
