THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN:unsure:

By Pastor Shawn Boonstra - "The Bible speaks about a sin that God can never forgive, and millions of people have lived in fear that they may have committed it. Is it really true? Is there something that God is unable to forgive? Get your Bible, and stay tuned, because in a minute, we'll see what God has to say on the subject. When I was a kid, I was over at a friend's house, and he managed to convince me that swearing was the unforgivable sin. "If you use a bad word again, you'll never go to heaven." Well, that really scared me, and for a little while I thought I was on my way to hell, because the more I tried not to think of curse words, the more they just kind of popped into my head.

"I'm never going to make it into heaven!" Now, of course, today, I know a little better. There's no question that a foul mouth is sinful, but it's not an unforgivable sin. In fact, the Bible says that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

Amen....Graw! And it won't be forgiven in this life or the next! Denying the Works of the Holy Spirit and denying Jesus is Lord is the second death to be cast into the Lake of Fire!  God Bless! Betty

Yep

Our Pastor tells us that the unforgivable sin is when you tell god "NO-Ive changed my mind-I dont want YOU" after we have taken HIS SON into our hearts. It has always made me wonder-WHAT ON THIS EARTH could make you turn your back on the Creator, and HIS SON???Especially knowing what you face at the end of your life by doing that:unsure:.......

In Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus says to the Pharisees,

"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come"
