The Waldo Canyon fire has exploded into the worse case scenario

A thunderstorm north of the Springs actually blew gale force winds into the fire area which has now exploded the fire. Houses are now being burned and the fire department cannot get to the homes because it is too dangerous to even be in the area. Flying Horse Ranch is the area of the fire now. Many homes in that area are probably engulfed in flames. It has really turned to the worse folks. This is so very terrible and sad.

The Air Force Academy has now been placed on pre-evacuation alert. The last area that was placed on a pre-evacuation status, was overwhelmed by the fire within a 1/2 hour.

Centennial Blvd is a major road on the west side of Colorado Springs has now been turned into a 1-way road so people can evacuate. I-25 at the Woodman Rd exit is jamed with FREAKIN' LOOKIE LOO'S and accidents are being reported as a result of it.

It is just not good folks, not good at all. :sadwalk:

Brandy,

Click on this link and you can see where the fire is. Right now it is to the west of I-25. I live in Cimmaron Hills on the east side of the city.
