Hello Fellow Seekers! Yesterday we shared 'The (your) Daily Rest' and today's topic is 'The Weekly Rest'. May God bless you and may you derive a blessing from it.

Read Genesis 2:1

Good post, Martin, but in the New Testament every day is the Lord's day and we are to live for Him every day of our lives! Yes, it is good to take one day of the week as our day to truly rest and to let employees rest from their labors, but sad as it doesn't work this way any more! Someone is working on Sat & Sunday at one time or the other and cannot be with their families on the weekend, when the children and maybe the wives or husbands are home: Therefore, they need to take another day when they can get together and rest the best that they can! It is a greedy world and too many force their workers to work when they shouldn't because of the almighty dollar! Even the stores are open on Sat & Sunday when at one time there was a blue law for them being closed on Sundays! A sinfilled and changed world has caused lots of problems and many to not know the name of Jesus and to not know Him personally! Very, very, very   I am in poor health, so I serve God when I am able to no matter what day of the week it is and I'm not able to do much work....so I rest a lot....more than I should, I guess....but that is what I must do now! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
