NOT!
When I kicked some sand out of the hole and saw this fly through the air I really thought I had a gold coin. I figured it was a collector's rare or investment quality coin. (I've found a couple fairly rare uncirculated coins over the years that must have come from collections, so it's not impossible.) The ID on this was '45' and it's the size of a silver dollar. Oh well, kinda of a neat find anyway.

This find made me curious, so I checked the only large gold coin I have and the id on a St. Gaudens $20 gold piece is '36'.

Always remember the transit token I dug on a N.J. beach...for a split second one dollar gold piece ran thru my head...heck from the waves it came out shiny. By the way most $20.00 gold coins read high dime so the 36 reading seems right on to me...
