This political cartoon says it all. Obama's got to go! Any president that would stop the oil pipeline, from Alaska, and keep us dependent upon foreign oil is NOT American!

Yes, the oil is coming from the oil deposits in Canada. No matter which way it runs, even if it ends up being loaded for China it will be good for the Canadian economy. If the line had run through the USA it would create (and it might yet) create some jobs here and be a little less oil from areas with shaky political situations. It will not, however, solve either our energy troubles or economy. The troubles in both run way deeper then that. It's just a sign of the flaky attitude our current government displays when something that could help some shows up but a fringe group dislikes it.

The oil will come South, by truck rather than pipeline. And that pipe will be built, after a suitable route is found (u know the Republican gov cancelled the current route), in 2013 after Obama wins his 2nd term.
