More rain on the way today. Just what we need! :-( Already posted a flash flood watch for the day but I don't think it's supposed to actually start until this afternoon. Gosh! It has rained sooooo much lately. Too much flooding! Guess I'll skip my trip to Trade Day - AGAIN - this morning and not take a chance on it raining on me earlier than expected. Will watch the LSU/Mississippi State game at 11:20, and then the Alabama/Arkansas game at 2:30. I think my other team (Tennessee) is on PPV so I'll skip that one. Of course there will have to be a nap or two in there somewhere! Maybe go to the Flea Market in the morning before church - I hope Cooler, more fall like weather predicted for the upcoming week! I'm EXCITED about THAT!!! Hope you all have a blessed and prosperous weekend!

You are certainly more than welcome to send some of that Rain to Arizona, ........... we can always use it.

I used to have considerable family in Alabama. What they would call a little afternoon shower, we here in Arizona would call a torrential downpour.

I hope you get minimal or no rain and things dry out soon. Speaking of fall like we are supposed to get only to 59 on Monday!

Sorry to hear you are having so much rain down your way! The weather man said while it was raining and flooding down South where it used to be so dry....that people need to be careful what they pray for.........sooo let the Lord know you need rain but not enough to flood everything! Guess someone prayed and did the rain dance toooooo looooong! :sadwalk: God Bless! Betty

I like Tennessee too , I am nervous about the ky florida game though. We are not the best sec team you know but I still like them .

Well I am pullin for Kentucky!

I pull for alabama except when they play tn and ky.

Had lots of rain here too, the last couple of days. Hopefully it will soften the ground up. They had a Fall Festival in the park today, so Monday morning I am planning on doing some 'tecting up there.

May the Lord bless you with lots of finds of some nice goodies and with a wonderful day of :detecting: Amen! God Bless! Betty

A little rain never hurt anyone...But a lot of rain can kill ya! Hope your boat still floats. I feel for you folks down South.

Best wishes
Jeff

Thanks Rick. Now, could you just come on down here and help us dump the water out of them????

Lisa

Hey, Graw! I didn't think of that! Trouble of it is... there isn't anywhere to even wring them out at that isn't already overflowing! Guess we could use them to soak it up and then wait till the next dry spell to wring them out.

Hahahaha! Yeah, we are accustomed to the little afternoon showers in the summertime due to the high humidity. We're also used to the tornadoes and storms that plague us year round. What part of Alabama was/is your family from? I'm located in the northeastern section, in the foothills of the Appalachians Mountains. Just northeast of Birmingham (about an hour or less). I live in a very rural community called, Gallant. Some of the cities and towns around me are: Gadsden, Altoona, Walnut Grove, Boaz, Steel, Ashville, Oneonta, Rainbow City.... your family anywhere close to these places?

It rained hard at times yesterday but it was mostly over by late afternoon. They say we will have a beautiful week ahead!!! BOUT TIME!!!!! Lots of sunshine, cooler temps, and less humidity. Doesn't seem like our summer has been quite as bad this year, especially the last few weeks. Probably due to all the rain and cloud cover we've had even on the days it didn't rain. We've had below average temps, that's for sure. I AIN'T complaining!!!! I'll be glad when it cools on down!!!!!! 59 for a high is my kind of weather! Of course our average high temps in the winter are in the 50's & 60's (sometimes the high 40's), unless we have a real cold snap.

Well somebody musta done a sunshine dace! I reckon the rain is gone for a few days! Yea!

Lisa

Thanks! I'll be pullin for Bama when they play Kentucky AND when they play Tennessee! But if Alabama has to lose to someone, I'd rather it be Tennessee since they are my #2 team.

Lisa

Hope you find lots of treasures!
