A site has opened up here in Indianapolis that I have been waiting years for and its finally happened.

The site is the now-closed Indiana Central State Hospital. Goes back to the 1840's or even further!

Acres and acres of target potential. Since the "residents" didn't have access to the park-like grounds over the past hundred years, I'm guessing that targets dug are from staff. Translation: lots of silent ground.

Dug this in the lawn of the "administration" building just before my headset adaptor went belly -up and I had to quit for the day. :rage

Blade's completely corroded away. Wonder how long that took?

Watch out for nurse Ratchet! Hey, do be careful with the little plug-in for your headphones. Yours may have already been fixed but folks had problems with the connection going bad (myself included). I think you have the SR adapter/stand on that machine - if that broke get another one it will save the connection on the machine.

Cheap so-in-so that I am, I'm headed to Radio Schack for a new 1/4 in plug socket. Replace it, put in a cut to size piece of Lexan, a little epoxy ans I'm back in business!

Never understood why they used a mini plug to begin with.

When you say "opened up" do you mean permission has been granted? was it closed prior to now? I would like to visit Indy and check it out sometime and I appreciate the tip.
