Think a third grader can handle an F2?

Bought an F2 for my grandson. It came down to the Ace250 or the F2 and had decided on the F2. Got a good deal on EBay - 8 and 4 inch coils- headphones and free shipping. Do you FIsher guys think a third grader can handle it? I know he will be pysched and it will be fun taking him out detecting.

I think the F2 is the better value over the Ace 250 because it comes with the extra small coil. He will love the F2 and you might start him off with the small coil due to the fact that will be lighter than a feather. Don't let the low priced units fool you. I think coil for coil, most of the big 4 detector companies produce lower priced units that are 80-90% the depth of the big guns, they just don't have the bells and whistles.

Keep us posted...

Thanks for the response Rob. I have to.agree about the better value. Going to.have to take it out for a spin myself. I know of an
Iron infested spot that should have some old goodies. With the F2'S fast recovery it will probably blow my Xl Pro out of the water even with the small Bullseye coil.

Thats just awesome! Showing a kid the mysterys of the earth and all he will learn just by being outside with Grandpa..:clapping: I wish you both good luck and lots of gold!
