Thinking about a change...

Hello everyone,
I have been detecting for quite a while, off and on since about '82 and I have had a few different detectors. My current machine is the Minelab Sovereign GT, an audio only machine. I am thinking of getting rid of it and trying out an F70, but can't make up my mind. I would like to know if anyone has prospected with the F70 and/or beach hunted and found small gold (i.e. chains, bracelets, earrings, the thin stuff) What kind of depth can i expect (generally speaking of course)? Has anyone here had both the Sovereign and the F70? Which did you like better and why? I know this is a lot to ask but I want to be sure I am doing the right thing here. By the way I am looking forward to a machine with depth readout, and I don't necessarily want to go with Minelab again. Thanks in advance!
