Thinking of New 5.3 Coil

Kennie

New member
Thinking of getting a 5.3 coil to supplement the 12" on my new MXT 300. Any advantages of the Kellyco Excellerator over the White's?

I'm sort of new at this but want the best trash separation.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much, Ken

I have the 5.3 coil. it seems to separate the trash better and is so much lighter than the stock 9.5. almost like not having a coil on mxt at all compared to it. for me it seems to find the smaller stuff better also..

I have the Whites 4 X 6 and the EXcelerator 4.5 X 7 and they are very close in performance, they both do very well in trashy and tight areas but I do think I get little bit more depth out of the EXcelerator, but not enough to really but one against the other. So really its a matter of with is going to cost you less. I dont own the 5.3 so I can't comment on that one but I hear its a great little coil.
I also agre with Butch on the 6 X 10 DD

I like my 5.3 quite well and also use the 6X10 DD a high percentage of the time with good results.

Hi Kenny

I also have a MXT 300 and the 12" is a real monster covers a lot of ground but heavy and with no separation.
So I brought a whites 5.3 great little coil good depth, light, great separation.Yesterday I received my
10X6 DD and ran around for a few hours it's light good separation with heaps of coverage, it's a bit different pinpointing but guys on this forum will soon sort that out for you.If I had to pick one it would be 10x6 DD.
I think this one will soon become my favorite

P.S If you can afford it buy both
