Thinking of upgrading from a Soveteign Gt.

Being a long time Sovereign user I do consider myself a tone guy. I can take or leave a meter.
In saying that I have a couple questions.
The Deus Lite package is an attractive buy. What is the deal with the WS4 headphone clip that can
attach the headphone module to the stem. Does target id readings and menu adjustments now in plain view? And it appears I can use my own headphones.
Once again emphasizing I am a beep and dig guy, what am I missing out on by not purchasing the package with the remote?
Essentially it appears the Deus would be a great water machine as long as the headphones are not submerged.
Anyone else use their Deus Lite as a water machine?
11 or 9 inch coil. It appears that the fast recovery of the Deus will allow the 11" coil to work good in trashy parks. I get by with my 12x10 SEF on my sovereign gt in the trash.
With the Lite package do I get the beach setting and the ability to customize some programs?

Thanks in advance.
Jason

Jason, I shoulder mounted the GT due to the weight. I still love the GT very much. Bought a good deal on control box ws5 deus and love it. Very easy to adopt to from Gt with the tones. I do like control box, with numbers, etc., but if I had to do without it no problem. The light weight is unbelievable, even with the eleven in. Mine came with the xp plug in earphones also and I just use them with summer heat. Still learning. Cya-Mark.

Not all adjustments are possible with the Lite package to the best of my knowledge. I have the WS4 so I always use the remote to change settings so I'm not sure exactly what is not available but the ones I would miss are the pinpoint function and the XY screen. The size of the Lite controller would make the menu difficult...no horseshoe or depth estimate either.
The adapter clip allows you to use your own headphones as the heaadphone module(receiver) connects to it and a cord to the clip. I think it would be a real pain to have to remove the headphones to see your adjustments on the headphone module without the adapter clip.
